The Number of Applicants to Dental School |

Applications to dental school have been increasing rapidly since 2001. The number of applicants to dental school per cycle has nearly doubled between 2001 to 2007 with 11,365 applicants processed by the AADSAS in 2007. This increase in the number applicants has resulted in a corresponding increase in the DAT and GPA scores of accepted students. The below graph is from an ADEA update newsletter from March 31, 2007 (note that these numbers do not include the applicants who applied through the TMDSAS for the Texas dental schools).
